announce the
" I Ex Libris International Granada Contest "
Under the following
BASES:
1.
Open to all Spanish and foreign artists, resident or not in Spain . To participate, each contestant must send two "ex libris " , same or different, that will not be returned to the artist and will become part of the funds of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts and "La Granja" Workshop . Each author will receive a certificate indicating that submitted works become part of the collections of the organizers.
2.
There is no restriction about theme. Engravings can be done on any support.
3.
All submitted works must include the words "ex libris", or similar, and must be signed by the author , individual or institution holder of the "ex libris".
4.
Each work must be signed and numbered, and for each stamping shall include a separate sheet with the following information: Author or designer name and surname, title , matrix, technique, support , year of completion, postal and electronic mail of the sender artist.
5.
The maximum size of the works shall not exceed 380 x 280 mm. The image can encompass some or all the support.
6.
Participants have to transfer the rights of reproduction in any medium, including media, both to the Royal Academy of Fine Arts "Nuestra Sra. De las Angustias" and to the "La Granja", Drawing and Printmaking Workshop. Both institutions will never use the works for commercial purposes, and will always state the authorship of the work.
Delivery of works
The submissions must be prepaid and sent to the following address: Taller de Dibujo y Grabado " La Granja ". C /. Canaveral , 30. 18004 GRANADA, SPAIN , between December 1, 2013 and May 23, 2014. Late receipts will be accepted only when the original mailing date is within the above cutoffs and an email is sent to tallerdegrabadolagranja@gmail.com with completed registration form, including the delivery date of the work.
The Royal Academy of Fine Arts and the "La Granja" Workshop, will take its utmost in care of the works, but will not be responsible for damage , theft or loss that may result from transport or unpredictable accidents.
Jury
The jury is composed by members of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts appointed for this purpose and D. Luis Emilio Fernández , multidisciplinary artist and director of the "La Granja" Workshop.
Awards
1
Two artists will be awarded for the quality of their work with a 2-week stay in the city of Granada, a grant of 400€, hotel accomodation (Porcel Hotels) and the facilities of the La Granja workshop will be available to develop their work during 14 days. The travel expenses from their origin to Granada are not included.

Each artist agrees to teach a two-days " Master Class" at the "La Granja" Workshop during the stay.
3
A selected number of the "ex libris " will be exhibited in a to be determined landmark location of the city. The exhibition days will be communicated to the participants.
4
The jury's decision will be announced on June 14, 2014, will be final, and will coincide with the exhibition opening

Participating in this contest implies acceptance of the aforementioned bases. Interpretation of the bases is reserved to the jury.

Con arreglo a las siguientes
BASES:
1.
Podrán participar todos los artistas españoles y extranjeros, residentes o no en España. Para ello, habrán de enviar dos "ex libris", iguales o diferentes, que no se devolverán al artista y que pasarán a formar parte de los fondos de la Real Academia de Bellas Artes y del Taller La Granja, enviándosele a cada autor un certificado en el que constará que las obras presentadas pasan a formar parte de las colecciones de las entidades convocantes.
2.
La temática será libre y la técnica, la propia del grabado sobre cualquier soporte
3.
En todas las obras enviadas deberá figurar el término ex "libris" o expresión equivalente y estar firmadas por el autor, persona o institución titular del "ex libris"
4.
Cada estampa deberá estar firmada y numerada; y en hoja aparte deberá figurar la ficha técnica de cada estampación conteniendo la siguiente información: Nombre del autor y/o diseñador, titulo, matriz, técnica, soporte, año de realización, dirección postal y correo electrónica del artista remitente
5.
El tamaño máximo del soporte (papel), no será superior a 380 x 280 mm, pudiendo la imagen ocupar parte o la totalidad del mismo
6.
Los participantes cederán tanto a la Real Academia de Bellas Artes, Nuestra Señora de las Angustias; como al Taller de Dibujo y Grabado "La Granja" los derechos de reproducción en cualquier soporte, incluidos los medios de comunicación, y que nunca tendrán carácter comercial, haciendo constar siempre la autoría de la obra.
Entrega de las obras
El envío de los trabajos habrá de hacerse a portes pagados a la dirección: Taller de Dibujo y Grabado "La Granja". C/. Cañaveral, 30. 18004 GRANADA, ESPAÑA, entre los días 1 de diciembre de 2013 al 23 de mayo de 2014, aceptándose, la recepción tardía de aquellos que acreditasen su expedición en las fechas determinadas, enviándose un correo electrónico a; tallerdegrabadolagranja@gmail.com con la ficha de inscripción cumplimentada incluyendo el resguardo de expedición de la obra.
Tanto la Real Academia de Bellas Artes, como el Taller "La Granja", pondrán el máximo celo en el cuidado de las obras recibidas, pero no responderá de los desperfectos, robos o extravíos que pudieran derivarse del transporte o accidentes impredecibles.
Jurado
El jurado estará compuesto por Académicos de número de la Real Academia de BB.AA nombrados a tal efecto y D. Emilio Luís Fernández, artista multidisciplinar y director del Taller "La Granja"
Premios
1
Se premiará a dos artistas determinados por la valía de sus trabajos y que consistirá en dos semanas de estancia en la ciudad de Granada, una beca de 400 €, con alojamiento en un hotel (hoteles Porcel) y disponibilidad del Taller "La Granja" para desarrollar su trabajo durante 14 días. Quedan excluidos los gastos de viaje de los artistas desde su lugar de origen.

Cada artista se compromete a impartir una "Master Class" de dos días de duración en el taller La Granja a impartir durante los días de trabajo en el mismo.
3
De los "ex libris" recibidos, se hará una selección con la que se realizará una exposición en un lugar emblemático de la ciudad aún por determinar y cuyas fechas se le comunicarán a los participantes.
4
El fallo del jurado se hará público el 14 de junio de 2014, será inapelable y coincidirá con la inauguración de la exposición.
5
La mera participación, supone la aceptación de las referidas bases, reservándose el jurado la interpretación de las mismas ante cualquier eventual incidente.
